Common questions
Why isn't music playing during my run?
Make sure Soundtrack has Media & Apple Music permission (iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Media & Apple Music). Keep the Apple Music app installed and check your subscription and selected library or playlist. Without music access, Soundtrack can still record a run.
How do I use adaptive music?
Accept the adaptive-music introduction on iPhone, then choose your Apple Music library or a playlist. You can choose Easy, Steady or Push and an optional pace. Manual playback controls override automatic changes, and shuffle remains available. Missing music metadata or a temporary connection problem may leave the app on shuffle.
Can I run with only my Apple Watch?
Bring your paired iPhone for music and the full connected experience. The Watch records workout data, including GPS and heart rate, while music plays on the phone.
Where do I create a workout or training plan?
Open Training to create a time, distance or interval workout, or make a plan for a 5K, 10K or half marathon. You can also start an open run without a plan. Plans are intended for people already running regularly.
Can I import my existing runs from Strava or Apple Fitness?
Not currently. Soundtrack records runs started in its iPhone or Apple Watch app.
How do I get my Soundtrack runs onto Strava?
Open the run, tap the menu in the top-right, then "Export GPX" — the file carries your route, elevation, and available heart-rate data. Upload it at strava.com/upload (or use a Health-export app like HealthFit or RunGap, which read Soundtrack's saved workouts automatically). Note: Strava's built-in Apple Health import only picks up runs recorded with Apple's own Workout app, so the GPX is the reliable path.
How do I share a run?
Open the run from your Activities tab, tap the menu in the top-right, then "Share Link." This generates a soundtrack.run/r/<code> URL that anyone can open.
How do I make a run private?
Same menu — tap "Only Me." The link will return 404 for anyone other than you.
How do I delete my account?
You tab → Account → Delete Account. Confirmation alert will warn you it's permanent.
